Dress on the Course


The most appropriate wear is that which has been designed specifically for Golf:

  • The wearing of denim of any sort is not appropriate.
  • The wearing of collarless or sleeveless shirts is not appropriate.
  • The wearing of shirts outside trousers is not appropriate.
  • Shoes should be specifically designed for Golf as any other design can be dangerous and/or cause damage to the course.
  • The wearing of tailored shorts is permitted with knee length socks or white sports socks only.
  • If any doubt should exist please refer to the Secretary/Manager, Professional or a member of Council.

 

Dress in the Clubhouse


  • Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket with collar and tie at all formal presentations and in the Club (Snooker) room.
  • Smart casual wear is acceptable with the exception of any form of denim, shorts, shell suits, sleeveless or collarless shirts.
  • Damp or soiled golf attire is not considered appropriate outside of the changing rooms.
  • Golf bags, trolleys and other equipment should not be left in the locker room.
  • Guests of members are required by law to sign the Visitors Book situated in the corridor outside the entrance to the Gentlemen's Locker Room.
  • Our staff are instructed not to serve members and visitors who do not observe the above guidelines.
  • Please do not put our staff in a position where it is necessary for them to bring this to your attention.

 

General Advice


  • Mobile phones should be switched off both on the course and in the Club House.
  • On Tuesdays the first tee is reserved from 9.00am until 1.00pm for Ladies Competitions.
  • Each weekday the first tee is reserved for members from 12.00 to 13:30 (14:00 on Tuesdays and weekends).

On the Course


  • Please rake bunkers, repair pitchmarks and replace divots.
  • Visitors should display their temporary membership tags on golf bags.
  • Members and visitors should not leave litter on the course.
  • Safety of fellow players is paramount, do not drive when in range and shout FORE if in the slightest doubt about the safety of others.
  • If you have caused damage to property on or around the course this must be reported to the Secretary/Manager immediately upon return to the Club House.
  • Please keep trolleys and buggies off all teeing areas, greens and approaches.

Should you have any suggestions to improve the Club's standards and image or wish to express a concern, please raise the matter with the respective Committee Chairman in the first instance or in their absence the Secretary/Manager.
