Bar

Our Bar service will resume from Monday 12th April.

We will be offering an outdoor service at the rear of the clubhouse, facing the 14th fairway.

We have seating for 34 available, and have worked to create the safest environment possible with the layout and spacings.

A gazebo will be in situ each day and provides cover for a limited amount of people.

Please wait to be seated and it is a requirement of track and trace to ensure your details have been recorded with staff.

The Rule of 6 will apply, meaning groups of no more than 6 may gather.

Tables are set in 4's due to their size and the need to continue social distancing.

We request that staff are the only ones to alter furniture or configuration.

Please bring a face covering with you, as exit from the area will be through the Clubhouse and a face covering will be required.

Social Distancing / Covid-19 Measures in Place

We would request that as a priority Social Distancing is always maintained and gatherings of more than 6 people are avoided at all times.

On Course

Please do not touch the flag / pin or any item on the course that you do not absolutely have to.

Rakes have been removed from all bunkers. A local rule is in place allowing Preferred Lies in the Bunker. This is available as an addendum to this update at the bottom of the page.

Whilst there is clearly a lot to take in and adhere to, we do hope that despite all of these measures, or even due to these measures you are able to enjoy your visit to Hesketh Golf Club.

Please tag us in your social media posts - @HeskethGolfClub on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even TikTok.

Local Rule for Bunkers

Preferred Lies in a Bunker

When a player's ball lies in a bunker the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:

Reference Point: Spot of the original ball.

Size of Relief Area: 6 inches from the reference point, but must not be nearer the hole than the reference point and must still be in the bunker.

In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.

Penalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 14.7a.

For this rule, please remember - The bunker condition must not be improved prior to the placing of the ball, otherwise a General Penalty of 2 Strokes is to be applied.
