Over 80 members and guests had an enjoyable evening at the Lee Slattery Dinner held on Tuesday 6th December.
Prior to Lee sharing tales of his golfing career, attendees enjoyed a two course meal prepared by our Head Chef Ian with support from Second Chef Piotr.
Karen and her team prepared the dining room and served as professionally as ever, with Carol and the Bar team keeping the drinks flowing throughout the evening.
Lee regaled tales from his amateur career as a member of Hesketh Golf Club, and expanded on his life on tour. Stories of time spent with Jon Daly, Rory McIlroy and other famous names were both intriguing and entertaining in equal measure.
Lee paid special mention to the lifelong support he has received from Club President Derek Holden, and presented Derek with signed photographs from both of his European Tour victories.
Sincere thanks must be given to the Gentlemen's Captain Roy Sinclair on his efforts in arranging a most memorable evening.
