The last week saw the presentation of the Lady Captains charity cheque of £4,500 to Southport Lifeboats with a great talk from them explaining the work they do around our coastline.

A reminder to all that the team Captains need your support and please continue to check the noticeboard for details of matches as the third team are about to begin the season with a match against Southport Old Links on Monday 6th March.

The LLCGA Interclub teams in Handicap and Bronze will require a team of 4 in each. Please see notice re.  Handicap categories. This year it will, with the WHS in use, be a challenge to gather players with suitable handicaps, so it may be necessary to have a number of reserves if possible for these teams. (Handicap Q round on Friday 12th May. Bronze Q round on Monday 3rd July).

The draw for the Lady Captain v Secretary (matchplay) Tuesday 7th March is now on the website.

Tuesday 7th March also sees the Ladies gathering for the Lady Captain’s report and presentation of prizes. This will be an informal meeting in the Main lounge starting at 7pm.

The Club AGM is the following day – Wed. 8th March when the Lady Captain elect together with the Gentleman’s Captain elect formally take up their roles. This meeting also starts at 7pm.

Taster Session – Sunday 2nd April Scott Astin will be running a taster session, on the practice ground, from 10.30 – no equipment needed. An email with all the details will be going out shortly to all members.

The new sunscreen board is now in the Ladies locker room and will shortly be in operation with factor 50 sun cream.
